Here is a bit of shameless promotion that I don’t usually get involved in, but this sounds like it might be a good deal for everybody involved. Ally PLM, a mid-western Solid Edge reseller, will be drawing from entries to select two free tickets to SEU13, June 24 – 26 in Cincinnati, Ohio. To enter the drawing, you have to Like, Follow, or Subscribe to the Ally PLM Blog.
In addition to the free tickets for two lucky people, they are also giving away 50 custom Solid Edge mouse pads to the first 50 people to Like, Follow, or Subscribe to the Ally PLM Blog.
The drawing takes place either on Tuesday (June 18th) or Monday (June 17). The site identifies the date as Tuesday the 17th, which is likely a typo. See the Ally PLM site for rules of the giveaway. The tickets are worth $550 each, but don’t include transportation or accommodations. The mouse pad looks pretty useful to me, with a lot of shortcuts and Live Rules info.
There are generally two ways to generate a lot of interest on the internet. One is to create great content, and the other is giveaways like this. Fortunately, Ally PLM also has a lot of great content on their website. They do free Solid Edge webinars from time to time, and they keep a library of these. The Lunch Byte series has produced literally dozens of very worthwhile presentations of about 30 minutes in length over the course of the last few years. You get to hear from a wide variety of application engineers on a wide variety of topics. Every thing from sheet metal to animation.
So, best of luck to you, maybe I’ll see you in Cinci next week!
